On our last day in Rome we decided to go and visit the Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps, and whatever else we came across! 🙂
This church was the first thing we “came across”, just around the corner from where we were staying, it is the Basilica of Saint Mary and the Angels. It was not a particularly nice church to look at from the outside, but they kinda made up for it on the inside:
And this was just the side wall! For those who are observant, you will notice half a man in the centre of the picture; he’s conversing in the confessional.
The size of their pipe organ was pretty impressive. The pipes are so large that you can hardly make out where the keyboard is at the bottom:
This cute little courtyard was part of the church complex.
Back outside we were amused by this little car, it shows why you want a little car in Rome. It was going left squeezing its way through with just inches to spare!!!
This door was pretty tiny, and obviously on a very old building:
Now, of course we did and saw much more than this, but I hereby announce a break in transmission due to unforeseen technical difficulties. Also known as: PSI. Painfully Slow Internet. 😉
I worked on this post and another when we left Rome on the train, and thought I was totally up to date and all ready to put them up once we got to our accommodation with internet. What I hadn’t counted on was a very, very slow internet connection. So I thought I’d just wait till we got to our next destination. But here the internet is even worse and I can’t upload pictures at all. Ha! Oh well… Transmission of pictures will continue, hopefully in a day or two at which time there will probably be several posts go up at once! 🙂
Oh dear. Hoping for a clear up of your PSI soon! 🙂
